St Andrew’s River Heights United Church is pleased to offer
four bursaries
to capable young singers, keyboard players and/or conductors,
for the period September 1, 2010 through May 31, 2011
St Andrew’s Senior Choir has a long tradition of fine music making. The choir still musters between 30 and 45 singers each week, has within its membership several accomplished and experienced singers, and offers a wide variety of choral music.
Duties will include:
singing in the Senior Choir (and/or serving as an assistant to the organist or conductor) each Sunday and for special services (e.g. Christmas Eve, Good Friday), special events, and Thursday rehearsals.
(Special permission to be absent will usually be granted due to other required musical commitments following prior consultation with the Musical Director.)
Each musician will be paid $100 a month through the above period, hopefully to be applied to studies and/or the purchase of materials which relate directly to their musical activities.

Applications should preferably be made by June 14, 2010, although late applications prior to Labour Day may be considered.
