Rev.Dr. Lesley Fox
Ordained to the ministry of word, sacrament, and pastoral care, Lesley hails from southern Ontario, and was settled in southern Manitoba in 1987. She has served rural pastorates all over southern Manitoba, learning some low German and Ukrainian along the way! Lesley received her B.A. in English at the University of Ottawa, her M.Div at the University of Toronto, and her D.Min at the University of Alberta with her dissertation focus on the theology of community. She also has clinical pastoral training, and training in suicide prevention.
Lesley was called to St. Andrew’s River Heights United in September 2011 with a focus on preaching, sacraments, pastoral care, and adult education. She was previously in ministry with the Altona Pastoral Charge for 10 years.
Lesley is married to Ted Klassen who is a retired teacher. They share 5 children together: Jerome and wife Caroline who are doing postdoctoral work at MIT and Harvard respectively; Carl and Krista who study and work at the University of Manitoba; Ted Jr. who is studying at York; Talitha who is studying at McGill, and Graham who is a high school student.
You will invariably find Lesley with her nose in a book, as she is an avid reader, and a lover of W.B. Yeats’ poetry. She loves cross country skiing, exploring museums and art galleries, and finishing crosswords with her beloved Ted! Lesley loves to challenge people intellectually, helping people to explore their sense of meaning in life, to grapple with the big questions, and to seek maturity in their faith journeys.

In June 2009, Karen accepted a call to ministry at St. Andrew's River Heights United Church in Winnipeg. At St. Andrew's she is in team ministry and works with the children, youth, outreach, pastoral care and always a bit of this, that and the other thing. Karen’s love for children and youth ministry, social justice and equality for all are reasons why she accepted the call to St. Andrews. Karen loves long walks with her partner Colette (married in 2005) and their three four-legged friends (shih tzus Chloe, Cokenee and Vern). She also loves motorcycling and has traveled across Canada and the United States to the Mexican border on a motorcycle.
